Gretchen M. Lichtner, MEd
Raised in Bucks County, PA, the oldest of 6 children, I received my MEd in Counseling from West Chester University in May 2000. My BS in Psychology is from the University of Maryland, College Park, summa cum laude. I have been doing counseling and neurofeedback for 25+ years at CEPD, where I was also the practice manager between 2007 and May 2014. I have also worked extensively training under/graduate interns. In 2014, I went to part-time to spend more time with my young family. I have also served as a part-time adjunct faculty member at Bucks County Community College between 2002 and 2007 and have taught both Introduction to Psychology and Human Growth and Development.
I have always incorporated my interests in holistic health into my eclectic counseling and biofeedback work with clients, and have focused on solution-focused, practical interventions, including leveraging strengths and lifestyle modifications. With decades of inclusive experience, I have a unique ability to collaborate with a wide diversity of clients. I particularly enjoy working with highly sensitive individuals who are seeking personal growth and balance in their lives. I understand that sometimes the seemingly simplest needs are the most difficult to fulfill: nutrition, exercise, sleep, social engagement, learning, spiritual connection. I enjoy helping others to engage more fully and consciously in their daily lives.
My personal interests include spending time with my husband and three tween/teen children. I enjoy cooking, reading, films, gardening, meaningful conversations, and science/nature-related activities.
