Lynne Taylor
M.A., LPC
Lynne Taylor has been a therapist at CEPD Psych since 2005. She has her BA from Penn State University and her MA in Clinical Counseling Psychology from LaSalle University. Prior to working at CEPD she was a teacher and worked in the corporate world. In addition to working with her clients, she also supervises therapists who are in the process of working toward their licensure.
Her approach to counseling is very individualized and client focused. She recognizes that each individual is very different and gears her approach to the client's needs. She also uses cognitive behavioral therapy, which is an evidenced based clinical approach. Lynne works with individual clients dealing with anxiety and depression and the complexities of modern life. She also enjoys working with couples.
She feels that the relationship between the counselor and the client is extremely important as a measure of therapeutic success and works hard to achieve a good therapeutic relationship. She also recognizes that the client's own motivation for therapy is probably the most important factor for change and growth to take place.
Outside of work, Lynne is very involved with her family, consisting of her husband, her three grown daughters and her seven grandchildren. She enjoys swimming, reading, and using her artistic skills for scrapbooking.
